Podiatric Surgeon
Dr. Kevin Dow is a podiatric physician and surgeon with extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical foot and ankle care. Originally from Northern Alberta, Dr. Dow returned to the province after spending approximately 15 years practising podiatry in the United States and is now part of the team at Feldman & Leavitt Foot & Ankle Specialists in Calgary.
Dr. Dow grew up in Hines Creek, Alberta, where he was raised on a farm and also worked in the logging industry. He later attended Central Washington University, where he earned a degree in biology before pursuing his podiatric medical education at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, now the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
Following podiatric medical school, Dr. Dow completed a three-year surgical residency with Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon, serving as chief resident during his final year. His residency provided comprehensive clinical and surgical training in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Dow began practising in the Spokane, Washington area in 2009. During his years in the United States, he provided a broad range of podiatric care and later established Liberty Lake Foot & Ankle in Liberty Lake, Washington. His practice included both conservative and surgical approaches to foot and ankle conditions.
Although Dr. Dow has a strong surgical background, his approach is to consider appropriate conservative treatment options before surgery. He works with patients to understand the cause of their symptoms and determine a treatment plan suited to their individual needs.
After many years in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Dow returned to Alberta and joined Feldman & Leavitt Foot & Ankle Specialists. He is currently listed with the Alberta Podiatric Medical Association as a podiatrist practising in Calgary.
